Typically has a college degree or equivalent in Quality or a related Engineering field (preferred), plus minimum five (5) years' experience in the field; or Quality Management System (or equivalent) program analytics experience (5 years).
Have a good understanding of ISO standards, ship specifications, drawings, MIL-STD, CFRs, ABS Rules, etc. or be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of these requirements within 6 months to a year.
Knowledge of statistical methods and problem-solving tools.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Have strong computer word processing skills.
Creating, evaluating, and reporting process/procedure performance analytics such as key performance indicators (KPI).
Conduct process audits.
Actively participates in implementing and monitoring continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, improve quality, reduce cycle time, and reduce costs.
Regular, reliable attendance on-site is an essential function of the job.
Occasional weekend work and / or extended hours.
Occasional travel to job locations throughout Hampton Roads.
Must qualify for a CAC or DBIDS badge.
