Experience with optical platforms such as Ciena, Infinera, Nokia, Cisco Optical, ADVA, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of ROADM, OTN, WDM, wavelength services, and optical transport concepts.
Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as Python, Bash, Shell, Perl, or Ansible.
Ability to read, understand, and modify existing scripts and automation workflows.
Familiarity with network design, capacity planning, redundancy, and scalability concepts.
Experience working in large-scale carrier, service provider, transport, backbone, or data center network environments.
Intermediate (3+ years of relevant optical networking experience preferred)
Ability to troubleshoot and provision equipment through vendor management interfaces.
Experience working with command-line tools and network management systems.
Ability to discuss and implement automation solutions for network deployment, software upgrades, monitoring, and operational tasks.
Comfortable reviewing and understanding existing code and automation frameworks.
