Accept the responsibility for a rotating 24-hour "On-Call" shift schedule

A&P; (Airframe and Power Plant) license or Military Maintenance Certification is required (or its equivalent)

5+ years of maintenance experience and knowledge of aircraft operations, systems and practices

Familiarization with aerospace quality control and quality assurance systems

Aerospace Design - knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of aerospace components. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics and ICA operating

Quality Management Analysis - experience in conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance

Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.

Hearing: able to hear and participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.

Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment .

Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.

Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.

Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.

Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site

Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

Applicants must be eligible to hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in DoD/DoN program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management.

Served on a Military Sealift Command Ship providing engineering support.

Familiarity with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Military Sealift Command procedures and processes; Supervisory experience; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel; ship building experience desired.

Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine, Mechanical or Design Engineering or related field. OR * Eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in Naval shipyard construction, DoW/DoN acquisition or program management, shipboard engineering operations, or technical leadership roles.

USCG Unlimited Engineering License Required.

Experience in in-service design on US Navy, or Coast Guard ships is preferred.

Experience in Commercial Ship Building programs, Military Sealift Command Shipbuilding programs, or Coast Guard ship building programs is preferred.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam. Preferred

Professional Engineer License in Mechanical, Electrical or Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Preferred.

Membership to Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) or American Society of Naval Engineer (ASNE) is preferred.

At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the **ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent)** grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. FOR 08XX:** Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
