Basic engineering, math and computer skills are required for this position.

Understanding of undersea cable mechanics and principles is required.

Charting and mapping skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must be willing to work in cable tanks, ISO containers, and in cable depot cable pans to assist with loading and offloading of customer cables and electronics.

Must pass a Fit for Duty physical

A certified STCW Basic Safety Training class

Must be able to travel a minimum of 50% of the time to and work at remote locations.

Must possess or be able to obtain DOD Secret clearance

With ability to obtain a DOD Top Secret clearance

Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Employment eligibility verification will be required at the time of hire.

College degree in Mechanical Engineering / Sciences is preferable.

Cable engineering/operational experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

In depth knowledge of Makai Lay and Winfrog Navigational software is desirable.

Compensation Rate: $40.00

Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your specific manager or supervisor.

Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet staffing needs of the health system.

Weekend and other after hours coverage may be required based on workload demand and staffing needs of the health system.

Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) as a sonographer ARRT(S) or RDMS or CCI certification in Medical Sonography or RDCS certification in Cardiac Sonography or RVT certification as Vascular Technologist AND At least one of the following specialty certifications: MRI, CT, PET, ARDMS or CCI or RDCS or RVT - specialty certification

Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers)

One (1) year of previous Technologist work experience

Three (3) to Five (5) years of previous Technologist work experience in each of the assigned modalities

Previous work experience in an academic medical center environment
