Broad understanding of structural/mechanical design, materials, weld design and bolted joints
This position is located in the Groton shipyard as part of D476 Manufacturing Engineering

Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20' - 25') within the submarine.
Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
Working with AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
Working with MATHCAD Engineering Mathematics Software (or similar software).
Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
Working with Piping systems
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
At least two (2) years business experience in:
Working with Finite Element Analysis.
