Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of high voltage, multi-phase power electronics systems.
Professional experience engineering 480V systems up to approximately 400 amps, including microgrid power management with generators and motors and transitions between shore power sources.
Hands-on experience with wiring and electrical system hardware installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Strong proficiency with instrumentation, control, and calibration, including CAN communication protocols, harness design and manufacturing, and power electronics synchronization strategies.
Demonstrated experience with data acquisition and analysis for electrical and control systems.
Approximately 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in power electronics, high voltage systems, or closely related fields.
Experience with combustion engine controls such as electronic fuel injection (EFI).
Hands-on experience with engine mechatronics devices including starters, alternators, and sensors.
Experience with custom controller development using platforms such as Arduinos or similar embedded control systems.
Experience in power electronics design and optimization for industrial or transportation applications.
Experience with engine testing and familiarity with AVL products and test systems.
Exposure to high-power industries such as solar energy, traditional energy and power generation, AC/DC power systems, wind energy, hybrid-electric vehicles, or high voltage locomotives and marine systems such as submarines.
