USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year

This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.

Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related and 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering for mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical components. OR Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related and 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering for mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical components.

Designing line architecture, including workflows, process manuals, and problem-solving assembly issues

Creating and reviewing PFMEA's, CAPA and control plans for manufacturing processes

Performing line balancing and time studies to optimize overall assembly processes and reduce cycle time

Implementing process changes by identifying bottlenecks and recommending actions to reduce inefficiencies

Leveraging systems to support production updates of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and data maintenance

Completion of at least one (1) production line setup

Line and workload balancing leveraging data and engineering tools such as IQ simulation, CAMA, or Bridge.

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.

A relocation package is not available.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering

Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing, fabrication, supplier performance, or supplier quality experience

Experience in heavy fabrication and the manufacture of large mechanical or electro-mechanical components in nuclear, power generation, aerospace, or another highly regulated industries

Project management

Working knowledge with manufacturing and quality plans and complex engineering drawings and specifications

Nondestructive testing/examination awareness (PT/UT/MT/RT) experience preferred

Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with mechanical systems and lean manufacturing principles.

Familiarity with a diverse range of materials (i.e. aluminum alloys, stainless steel alloys, engineering polymers, composites, etc.).

Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical data.

Must be capable of applying statistical analysis techniques such as Design of Experiments, Optimization, Process Reliability, Hypothesis Testing and Regression Analysis.

Experience with 3-D Modeling software (Uni-graphics, Solid Works, or Solid Edge) is required.

Read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Experience within commercial aircraft seating (assembly) environment.

Lean implementation with emphasis on standard work & line balancing.

Experience establishing operational objectives and performance metrics.

DMAIC problem solving

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.

Must be able to work effectively at video display terminals for extended periods of time.

Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.

Duties require typical bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, etc. with lifting typically limited to 10-20 lbs. maximum.
