* Nuclear Medicine Tech (N) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or
* Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (CNMT) issued by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Nuclear Medicine.
Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Nuclear Medicine Technologist role.
Must perform and be proficient with all of the following procedures if performed at assigned facility which include therapy, QMP, PET/CT, and nuclear pharmacist backup.
Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety.
Advanced knowledge of Radioactive Materials Program Requirements (State of WI) DHS 157.
Proficient in IV and venipuncture.
Proficient ECG interpretation, heart rhythm recognition and pharmacological knowledge.
Intermediate computer skills.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist throughout the workday.
Lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
Lift up to 20 lbs. over the head.
Carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
Push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
Perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
Must have clear speech, vision and hearing.
