High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work from fairly complicated drawings, engineering specifications, layouts, and other operating instructions.
Strong shop mathematics skills and the ability to use handbook formulas and precision measuring instruments.
Some shop trade knowledge in a specialized field or process equivalent to one to three years of trade training, including the ability to do tool grinding and sharpening.
Experience performing first article inspection and maintaining quality throughout the production run.
