Prior experience operating machine tools in a manufacturing environment required
Read blueprints
Use precision measuring instruments
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical specifications
Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools including lathes, mills, boring machines, and grinders
Select and install proper tooling, fixtures, and machine components
Position and secure workpieces using appropriate holding devices and equipment
Set machine feeds, speeds, depth of cut, and other operating parameters
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and conformance to specifications
Perform inspections and measurements of finished parts
Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues and support corrective actions
Operate related equipment such as welding machines, bench grinders, forklifts, and overhead cranes
Respond quickly to production changes, including urgent or unplanned orders
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in all work activities
Technical training or apprenticeship in machining strongly preferred
