Operate machinery in a productive manner using the established safety guidelines and procedures
Move and wrap completed products
Requires the ability to do simple math calculations
Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust the weight and timing of baler and various other simple maintenance problems
Will require good eye, hand, and foot coordination
The Baler Operation: Stacking bales on pallets, sealing bales with an iron, and wrapping pallets
Maintain a clean workstation
Prior forklift and production line experience preferred
The packaging operator is required to perform two functions: the bagging operation and the baler operation
Assist the Shift Leads to start and stop the pellet mills
Will need to pass the company forklift training
High School diploma or GED preferred
Will be lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a minimum of 7 hours per day
Communicate any moisture or material problems to Shift Lead
Requires the ability to read and interpret scales
The Bagging Operation: Responsible for operating a variety of machinery, primarily bagging and baler machines, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jack, and bag sealer
