Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English; training to become proficient with the Spanish language will be provided at the Academy
Education Substitution for GL-7: a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or one full year of graduate-level education related to law enforcement, or other specified combinations
Age Restriction: refer for selection before reaching the 40th birthday (with certain federal service exceptions)
Combination of Experience and Education for GL-5: combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education
