Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, military class C school or Military Occupation Specialty (MOS), and five or more years of progressive experience as an apprentice plumber or HVAC mechanic. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Must demonstrate considerable knowledge of construction industry mechanic concepts and regulations as well as plumbing and mechanical codes.
A valid California driver's license with a good driving record verified by the DMV
Strong knowledge of computer operations and application pertinent to the field.

Must have a working knowledge of and discretion in safely operating hand and power tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document and report findings;

Strong analytical skills to use Management Control Systems to determine current status of operating equipment and plumbing systems;
