Accounts Payable Specialist

2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or finance experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems

Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in a timely manner
Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation
Prepare and process payments through checks, ACH transactions, and electronic transfers
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor payment inquiries
Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate account records
Ensure expenses are properly coded and entered into the accounting system
Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
Maintain vendor files and support compliance with internal accounting procedures
Coordinate with internal departments to obtain invoice approvals and supporting documentation
Support audit requests and provide payment-related documentation as needed

High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years mechanical and/or electrical experience, gearbox repair and/or motor repair experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, engineering, business or manufacturing from an accredited college or university is preferred
Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office software)
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and organization
Ability to work as part of a team and interact with all levels of customers and internal support teams
Ability to travel 50%+ of the time on average; overnight travel may be required
Must reside in Oklahoma, Arkansas or North Texas
