A minimum of 2 years experience as a Medication Access Specialist 2 (or similar experience).
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
Cross trained and demonstrated competence in multiple medication access team responsibilities (such as prior authorizations, foundation and manufacture assistance, and medication refill support).
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience with 3rd party insurance.
4 year degree preferred.
Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration.
Graduate of ASHP accredited pharmacy tech training program preferred.
Cross trained and demonstrated ability to support prior authorization services in a minimum of 3 different disease states and/or demonstrated ability to support multiple clinics from a medication refill perspective and/or demonstrated ability to support all areas in regards to foundation and manufacture assistance.
Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
