Strong knowledge of stainless-steel procedure, ability to read drawings and ability to set up painting tools
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use personal protective equipment
Adherence to all quality systems procedures and policies
Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
Performs all tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
Capable of performing all aspects of industrial painting, working with other employees as part of a team
Perform a variety of routine painting duties, painting, sand blasting, powder blast and preparation for enamel, epoxy, and latex painting
Prepare and paint a variety of surfaces including aluminum, ferrous metal, uncoated metal, plate, and other surfaces as specified; protect and prime surfaces as appropriate; apply finish coatings to requirements
Apply protective coatings to items
Correct work as directed, repair nicks, scratches, or other small imperfections in the finish
Measures area to be painted; determines quantity and type of paint to use for the project
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local occupational safety, health and air pollution control regulations including Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and with all safety precautions recommended by paint manufacturers
Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices
Clean-up work areas, equipment, supplies and materials; apply standard safety practices and procedures
Maintain all safety standards in the performance of duties
