Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
High School Education, diploma, or equivalent
Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials
Proven experience as an ASME code welder
Must be able to see details at close range.
Must consistently demonstrate code quality work.
Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments
Read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Must pass 3G plate test and 6G pipe test as a condition of employment or internal move into this role.
Experienced in welding various metals (e.g. stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, etc.)
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
Must be able to sit/stand/walk for up to 10 hours/day
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures prior to starting a project
Perform VT/PT on work to identify any flaws.
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, etc.)
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
Properly follow assigned WPS.
Must maintain required ASME Welding certifications.
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use required protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
