Ability to clearly direct multiple crafts (fitters, welders, rigging, QA) during time-critical alignment and placement operations.
Successful job candidates will be asked to provide documentation of their US Persons status.
Comfortable working independently with minimal instruction.
Ability to accurately use precision measuring tools Micrometers, Indicators, etc.
Carry heavy equipment for long periods of time, including up and down flights of stairs and in and out of confined spaces / tanks.
Prospective employees must pass a drug and alcohol test and background check as pre-employment screening.
Most travel will be within a few hundred miles, but there may be occasions where nationwide travel is required.
Ability to make real-time decisions with incomplete data and communicate risk, tolerance, and intent clearly to supervisors and crafts.
This role involves supporting multiple facilities in the Portland Metro Area when providing metrology support, however travel is an expected part of the role and can vary in frequency.
Ability to select correct cutting tools and calculate appropriate cutting speeds/ feeds.
This role is with a federally contracted employer and is subject to regulations that restrict employment to US Persons only (i.e. US Citizens, lawful permanent residents, legally recognized asylees and refugees, and persons protected under INA).
Frequent work in noisy, hot, dirty, and visually obstructed environments where equipment protection, personal safety, and situational awareness are critical.
Ability to perform and thrive under pressure in a very fast-moving Fabrication/ Construction environment.
3+ Years CNC & Manual Machining experience.
Advanced understanding of print reading and interpreting of GD&T; - ASME Y14.5
