NDT Level II Inspector
Working knowledge of metal fabrication and construction techniques.
Shall have sufficient education, training, and experience to ensure understanding of the principles and procedures of those NDT methods in which they are being considered for certification.
Level II Inspectors shall have all of the capabilities of a Level I Inspector. Additionally, a Level II Inspector shall be capable of planning inspections, tests and examinations including set-up required, equipment, and generating/reviewing procedures relative to their areas of qualification. Level II Inspectors shall be capable of evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection results, supervising, and certifying lower-level inspection personnel.
Documented training and/or experience gained in positions and activities equivalent to those of levels I and II prior to establishment at Pegasus Steel.
Shall be qualified to establish techniques and procedures; interpreting codes, standards, specifications, and procedures; and designating the particular NDT methods, techniques, and procedures to be used.
U.S. citizenship is required.
One (1) year satisfactory performance as a Level I Inspector in the discipline or certification, or High school graduate with three (3) years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities.
Ability to receive government clearance is required.

Successful completion of Pegasus Welder I Performance Qualification Standards within 90 days of hire.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
High school diploma or GED.
Successful completion of an accredited trade school welding program or equivalent; or 2-years demonstrated practical AWS D1.1 welding experience; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively present information to top management and customer's top management.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis, etc.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Successful completion of 7 weld tests: FCAW (2G, 3G, and 4G); GWAW-Pulsed (2G, 3G, and 4G); GMAW-Spray (2G).
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, quality manuals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Successful completion of Pegasus Welder Workmanship Training (WWT).
