Perform any one of various related and repetitive axle, housing, head, brake or other related assembly, or subassembly and final assembly operation connected with primarily truck and heavy duty tandem or straight axle housings, air shift assemblies and Central Tire Inflation Systems as assigned or directed
MUST Be flexible to work overtime as needed; when overtime is needed, it is 2 or 4 hours daily during the week and up to 8 hours on Saturday or Sunday
Perform visual inspection of parts prior to assembly; detect and report any defective parts and materials, equipment malfunctions or assembly difficulties to proper supervision
MUST be able to perform duties while standing, usually in standing position, at an assigned assembly line station or bench
Must be able to lift, move or transport parts and subassemblies using hoists or other manual aids

Calibration encompassing the following core disciplines: Temperature, Pressure, Flow, Vibration, Mass, Electrical, Electronics, Time, Torque, Force and Dimension.
A strong understanding of a wide variety of precision measurement equipment, to include the care and use of Instrumentation, Gages, and Precision Measurement Equipment; calibration program management, and Measurement Principles.
Be proficient in gage management software
Be computer proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
Have a strong understanding of computer system peripherals and communication configurations
Lifts and carries less than 50 pounds but greater than 25 pounds repetitively
Stands greater than four hours at a time
May require walking 2 - 4 miles during an 8 hour period
Stoops and bends below knee level 2 - 4 times an hour
Climbs stairs more than four times in an eight hour shift
Pushes / pulls objects greater than 25 pounds
Reaches out
Reaches overhead
Repetitively uses feet
