Ability to problem solve.
Ability to supervise, teach and motivate staff; willingness to perform any task that is required and possess good safety habits.
A high degree of construction field expertise will be required.
Familiarity with all facets of construction, including earthwork, drainage, framing, finishes and all mechanicals is a must.
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and meet critical time deadlines are crucial to this position.
The person in this position must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with other members of the construction department and with third-party contractors and tradesman, as well as with company owners and managers, and all other office team members.
Safety-related requirements include identifying unsafe working conditions or unsafe practices, documenting safety violations per HCG Safety Manual, collecting subcontractor Safety Manuals prior to commencement, initiating pre-construction safety discussions with each subcontractor, and maintaining SDS documentation as required.
A minimum of ten years' experience in construction, including large-scale multi-family residential and/or commercial construction, is required for this position.
Required to have or get upon employment OSHA30 and First Aid/CPR certification
