Overtime: Employees must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis if needed. It is mandatory for junior employees (if senior employees refuse) to work overtime. Refusal to work mandatory overtime is considered a voluntary quit. Overtime will paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week.
2nd Shift 2:00 pm - 10:25 pm
3rd Shift 10:00 pm - 6:20 am
Shift times are subject to change. Employees must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift. Sometimes it is not possible to give employees involved much notice. Refusal to work as needed is considered a voluntary quit.
The noise level is such that earplugs must be worn at all times. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times (ex. hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes). Safety equipment is provided by the Company with exception of steel toe shoes, which must be provided by employee upon the first day of employment.
Must be able to operate, monitor and inspect assembly machines, tools, dip tanks, paint lines, impregnators, and other related equipment to produce a finished product, to assist or accomplish the set-up and material handling as necessary, to perform minor troubleshooting.
Must be able to inspect castings visually and dimensionally (through the use of precision measuring instruments, gauges, and other equipment), perform necessary tests and random audits, calculate and record findings by manual and electronic means.
Must be able to operate all necessary moving, hauling and storing equipment.
Must maintain work area in neat and clean condition and assure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage and all waste and debris are removed upon completion of assigned work.
Must report any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment to Supervisor immediately.
Must participate in SRP, VPDS, and any other Company initiative designed to improve workplace efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve quality.
Must inspect castings visually and dimensionally (through the use of precision measuring instruments, gauges, and other equipment), perform necessary tests and random audits, calculate and record findings by manual and electronic means, to report findings to appropriate production personnel, to maintain proper certifications for contract work.
The company provides safety equipment; steel toe shoes must be provided by employee on first day of employment.
