High School Diploma and completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course (Required)
High School Diploma and 1 year of experience in monitor technician surveillance/EKG monitoring within the last 5 years may be accepted in lieu of a monitor tech surveillance program/course.Candidates who have not completed a monitor technician surveillance program must complete a certificate program within 90 days of hire.
To be released from new employee orientation all Monitor Technicians must successfully complete the Sentara Basic Arrhythmia competency tool which includes passing a basic arrhythmia exam

This position requires repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment.
