Proven purchasing, procurement, or buyout experience within the civil, heavy highway, infrastructure, concrete, sitework, excavation, utility, or roadway construction industry.
Experience supporting a contractor that self-performs civil or concrete work.
Strong ability to read and interpret project specifications, drawings, scopes, vendor proposals, and submittals.
Demonstrated experience leveling vendor quotes and negotiating supplier pricing.
Ability to coordinate effectively with estimating, project management, field supervision, vendors, and executive leadership.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, deadlines, and priorities at once.
Clear communication style and the ability to solve time-sensitive procurement issues in a fast-moving construction environment.
