Relevant work experience should be shown in areas of at-sea vessel operations (deck, rigging and line handling tasks, cooking, cleaning, conducting rounds, standing watch, participating in firefighting operations, and performing emergency repairs), in-port operations (rigging, crane operation, forklift operation, manlift operation), and maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, upgrades, fabrication, installation, operational and testing support of hull mechanical and electrical (HM&E;) systems
Active SECRET Security Clearance required
American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) Diesel Engine Certification
Experience should be especially focused in the machinery maintenance aspects of these systems, with demonstrated familiarity with metal and wood working equipment, welding, cutting, pipefitting, corrosion control, and electrical work
10 years of relevant work experience or graduated from a technical school with eight years of relevant work experience
