HS Diploma/GED required with temporary exception that may be granted with the condition that an applicant completes their GED within 3-6 months
Some relevant experience in commercial or residential painting
Must be able to bend, climb, sit and/or stand for prolonged periods and lift at least 30 lbs. in order to carry out the functions associated with this position
Must be able to arrive to work and ready to work on time

General painting and preparatory work necessary for the upkeep of Center facilities
General skills relating to protecting non-painted surfaces from splatters and spills
General skills caulking, spackling and repairing damaged wall surfaces so as to properly prepare for the application of primer, sealer and/or paint
General painting skills including precision application and trimming
Ability to be flexible and manage time, resources, and customer services in a professional manner
Demonstrate understanding and ability to work with clients with mental health disorders or special needs
Demonstrate respect and appreciation for diversity (culturally relevant, anti-bias, and multicultural)
Skills necessary to support and promote a professional work environment
Effective oral and written communication skills
