Transportation Coordinator/Driver

Valid driver's license or valid commercial driver's license in current State, as applicable, with a satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards
Complete pre inspections before use of vehicle
Monitor regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's _Code of Conduct_ and completes mandatory _Code of Conduct_ and other appropriate compliance training
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Strong knowledge of modern warehousing techniques, logistics operations, special handling and storage requirements, and shipping alternatives.

New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check)
Minimum of two years relevant experience in a psychiatric setting/patient care preferred
Hands-on expeirence with office equipment, i.e. fax machines and printers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication skills, i.e., reading, writing, and speaking
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
Thorough knowledge of how to access local resources
Understand and honor the established hospital rules, regulations and Policy and Procedures
Good leadership qualities which includes self-control, patience, and empathy
