Ability to certify in SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)
P-14 socket weld joint
Wear proper PPE, including hard hats, respirators, safety harnesses, and flotation gear as required
Familiarity with U.S. standard and metric measurement systems
Ensure compliance with all OSHA standards
Understanding of ship repair terminology
2-5 years of experience as a Structural Welder
FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) or Silver Brazing
GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals
Safely operate and maintain welding equipment, portable power tools, and hand tools
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Knowledge of P-3 joint with a permanent backing ring
Specific knowledge of SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding techniques
Pass the Structural Weld Test (Stick and Flux Core)

Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems and ability to perform general repairs in some of the following: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor) and appliances. Some training will be provided.
Proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance, other building maintenance or related experience.
OSHA 10 is required (new hires will have up to 90 days to complete OSHA 10 certification if not already certified).
Comfortability using mobile devices (i.e. iPad and/or iPhone) and various mobile applications
High School diploma or equivalent
Must possess a current driver's license, automobile insurance, and any other licenses and/or certification as required by state law
