Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or Technology or at least 10 years of equivalent work experience.
Minimum of five years of experience in facilities or critical systems maintenance with leadership responsibilities.
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds.
Capability to lift up to 30 pounds overhead.
Capability to bend or stoop, climb ladders, and reach overhead.
Ability to meet confined space entry requirements and maneuver in tight spaces.
Ability to work in unfavorable conditions (hot/cold temperatures) and high places.
Audiometric testing and hearing protection are required.
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods.

Basic math, reading and comprehension skills
Read and interpret blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements
Knowledge of the layout, fit-up and fabrication of steel plate and beam
Experience with various trade specific tools such as: grinder, hand torch, hydraulic and ratchet jack, chain fall and/or come-a-long, combination square, framing square, hand level and plumb bob
Proven shipfitting experience with strong technical expertise
Ability to read and work from blueprints and measurements
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with fabrication tools
