Completion of formal welding training program is a plus
Highly skilled in using TIG welding equipment and precision measuring instruments
Requires a thorough understanding of shop practices and procedures
Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
Must be certified on 2 materials of the Company's choosing
Must be able to qualify for MVP certification
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Knowledge of material properties, hardware specifications, and welding compatibility
Familiarity with rework techniques and common welding defects
Employee must be able to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses
