Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair.
Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by bending or twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, climbing, climbing on ladders, balancing, lifting, walking, carrying materials and standing for long periods of time.
Requires working in cramped workspaces and getting into awkward positions.
Completion of a formal apprenticeship, welding program, successful completion of an in-company, three-year training program required.
Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
Must be able to see details at close range.
1-3 years of Fabrication with Welding & Layout experience
Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be comfortable intermittently working at heights of 8 feet.
1 - 4 years of Experience with wire feed welding Steel & Aluminum experience
Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints.
Requires wearing specialized protective or safety equipment.

Level of Experience: Mid
Ability to obtain and maintain base access, Security Clearance, and must be a US Citizen.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed oral and written instructions, schematics or drawings, technical documents, and to conduct activities in a safe manner.
Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
Experience Using Hand Tools i.e. Wrenches, Hammers, grinders Cutting Torches, ETC.
Experience Brazing with Grade III Silver Solder.
Experience using Shop Machinery i.e. Saws, Drills, Pedestal Grinders, ETC.
Experience performing fit-up of Piping and Structural Components.
Must be able to calibrate, and make minor repairs on tools/equipment.
Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 4 years of related experience.
Experience with SMAW (Stick) welding Carbon Steel/HY100/HY80 and experience with GTAW (TIG) welding Carbon Steel/Stainless Steel/Copper Nickel.
Required Travel: 11 - 25%
