Minimum of three years' relevant heavy equipment field experience is required to be eligible for the $5,000 sign-on bonus
Candidates with less than 3 years' heavy equipment field experience are eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus
Minimum of four years' experience repairing heavy construction equipment preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Thorough knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical and other related components to troubleshoot and analyze unique and high level problems/issues quickly and improvise using logic and critical thinking skills to make needed repairs
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Ability to repair Caterpillar and competitive components and machines
Excellent driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL
Ability to become DOT certified with DOT Medical Card
Willingness to work any shift and overtime as needed to meet business and customer demands
Strong communication with excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-direction and well organized
Proficient use of technical software, databases and manuals
Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
