Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.;
Experience in metal fabrication, machining, or welding environments.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Previous QC experience in a metal shop or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of welding symbols and inspection criteria.
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or similar certification.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
Ability to identify defects such as warping, misalignment, porosity, cracks, and incorrect dimensions.
Familiarity with CNC machining or structural steel fabrication.

Able to use related manufacturing tools and equipment
Able to understand milling and drilling on the machine centers
5 Years of CNC machinery experience
Capable of identifying and selecting generic lathe tools and drills
Ability to wear proper PPE at all times
Must be available to train Monday through Friday 6:30am - 3:15pm before transitioning to assigned 2nd shift
Be able to identify drawing elements such as surface finish, concentricity, parallel surfaces
Understand thread elements such as minor, major and pitch diameter
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
