High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Minimum of 5 years welding experience performing GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) on a variety of aerospace materials such as austenitic, martensitic, and precipitation hardened stainless steels, nickel-based steels, aluminum, and titanium
Preference for NADCAP certification for aerospace welding, specifically the welding of sheet metal in the flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead position
Welder candidate should have experience with or knowledge of AWS D17.1-Specifications for Fusion Welding for Aerospace Applications
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Ability to use basic shop math and compute rate, ratio, and percent
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
May lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
May work with toxic or caustic chemicals
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock
