Have knowledge of G code, M code, tool selection, grades, tool geometry and coatings.

Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to design and manufacture fixtures that may be needed to complete the job.

Understand how to keep the machine in good working order and how all the materials and processes that a CNC is programmed for.
Have a full and strong understanding of how the CNC will be milling components per the material being machined.

Be completely knowledgeable in reading and understanding 2D prints and/or 3D models, including knowledge of GD&T;
