Basic typing skills are necessary
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Proficiency using windows based applications and software (Microsoft Office)
Understand soldering principles, general test equipment, and IPC repair criteria
U.S. Citizenship required (Must have resided in the U.S. for the past five years with no more than six months travel outside the U.S. during this timeframe)
Ability to perform a variety of assembly tasks requiring dexterity and fine motor skills
Must have a basic understanding of electromechanical assemblies and electronic equipment configurations to verify conformance to drawing or standards
Proficiency in inspecting items to technical specifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Formal training with two years' related experience or four years' related experience in lieu of formal training
Visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection)
Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current
Must be able to perform inspections in the various work areas
Ability to stand on feet for long durations
Physical activity may include kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motion
Heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal
Proficiency in identifying discrepancies per standards and express findings in writing
