Mold Setter – 3rd Shift
11pm-7am Sunday night through Thursday night
Must be able to work 3rd shift with Training on 1st shift (7am-3pm) the first 3-4 weeks of hire to get acclimated to business/work tasks
Positions assembled molds on press bed of molding machine bolts to assemble and align die with matrix
Installs die on machine using clamps, bolts, and hand tools
Adjusts stroke of ram
Connects steam, oil or waterlines to molding machines
Sets machine controls to ensure process control during manufacturing cycle according to procedures
Places necessary mixtures of resins, dry as required, into hopper
Starts up sample mold runs and examine samples to ensure all requirements are in place
Verifies critical dimensions and submits the product to Quality Assurance for approval
Responsible for general housekeeping of work area
Sets up and repairs machinery and equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, and operation manuals and manufacturers specifications
Mounts, aligns and bolts fixtures, dies and welding heads onto fabricating machines
Performs startup and shutdown of equipment
Adjusts and sets controls to assure proper machine operation and timing
Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled
Will occasionally load heavy materials to machine
Associates degree preferred
Two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
A medical examination to confirm an individual's ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position is a pre-employment requirement
A pre-employment medical examination or Fitness for Duty Examination may be required upon return from medical leave
