This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
This position requires the ability to lift, carry and set up Shipfitter cognizant material of a weight consistent with safety regulations.
Work may require prolonged standing, reaching, lifting and bending.
Work is performed in shop, dry docks, or aboard ships and submarines
Work requires climbing vertical ladders when working aboard ships or submarines; and use of hands, legs and arms is required for climbing.
Occasionally performs work from ladders, stepstools, staging or suspended scaffolding.
May be required to work in confined spaces.
Incumbant may be required to acquire and maintain qualification in nuclear, RadCon, gas free, and testing of tanks and compartments.
