Operate dragline/lattice boom crawler, usually on a bridge construction jobsite
Read and understand equipment manuals
Use math skills to calculate the load/capacity to prevent overload
Assemble and disassemble equipment at the job site
Inspect and maintain equipment to prevent malfunctions or damage, fill out reports documenting both
Determine the suitability of the supporting ground and surface for loads
Operate the crane skillfully and safely in conformance with OSHA regulations
Use a drag bucket, clam bucket, vibratory driver and extractor, auger, frostball
Lift rebar, lumber, beams, concrete and other items associated with bridge construction
