Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
Assists the Grocery Manager with the successful operation of the department
Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services provided
Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the department
Receives, stores and stocks a wide variety of products
Orders product to meet the needs of the grocery departments based on past and projected sales
Pulls out of date product from the shelves
Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation and productivity are maintained
Teaches, mentors and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Department Manager and/or Store Manager
Consistent and daily interaction with store associates, customers, and vendors
