Must possess a class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a commercial learning permit (CLP) prior to entering job classification
Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards
Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier (FMC) regulations
Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator
Basic written and verbal communication skills
Ability to hook up and break down sets of trailers that require an average lift force of approximately 100 pounds, several times a day
Ability to lift/carry hand freight weighing up to 100 pounds, several times a week
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck
Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
Ability to work independently and/or as a team member

Valid Class A CDL
Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
English language proficiency
Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening required
The position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required
The associate must be able to see and hear. Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg
The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
