Environmental Conditions: Work is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100-120°F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter. High noise levels are common; hearing protection is provided and required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task.
Physical Requirements: Able to bend and stand in for 8 to 10 hours a day and walk for extended periods; Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. up to 10 times per day during an 12 hr. shift; Ability to adjust body movements or equipment controls to keep pace with speed changes of moving objects; Must be able to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away; Must be able to see differences between colors, shades and brightness; Must be able to use fingers and hands to grasp, move or assemble very small objects. Minimum height requirement of 60 inches.
Knowledge of measuring parts using gages (tape measure, calipers, micrometer, height gage, torque wrench, etc.).
Postural Requirements: Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks.
English language skills: Able to read, write speak and comprehend English.
Lifting & Material Handling: Operator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lb repeatedly throughout the shift. Technician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lb multiple times per day, including overhead lifts. Where possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used.
