MSHA regulations, site-specific safety procedures, and company policies

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Complete required documentation including daily reports, safety logs, and equipment checklists
Strong commitment to safety and hazard recognition
Proper ventilation awareness and safe work practices in confined underground spaces
Strong knowledge of underground mining methods and drilling technique
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical
Minimum 3-1 years of underground percussive drilling experience
Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and handling heavy drilling equipment
Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus
Experience operating jackleg and/or mechanized percussive drills
