Lead Electric Motor Mechanic
Lead complex repairs
Diagnose, repair, and rebuild a wide range of AC/DC motors and electro-mechanical equipment
Advanced troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems
Dynamic balancing of rotors and armatures
Vibration analysis (Level 1+)
Interpret results to drive repairs
Operate and mentor others on specialized testing equipment, including surge and megger testing
Lead tear-down, inspection, and rebuild processes
Hands-on leadership, coaching, and training to mechanics and apprentices
EMC's quality and safety standards
Support and occasionally lead field service projects, including equipment removal and installation
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, and increase shop efficiency
Proven experience repairing industrial electric motors and rotating equipment
Strong understanding of electrical theory and motor design
Skilled with precision tools: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators
Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and medium-voltage testing equipment
Ability to troubleshoot independently and make sound technical decisions
A natural mentor who enjoys developing others and elevating team performance
High standards for quality, safety, and workmanship
Valid driver's license and willingness to support field work as needed
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Standing, walking, and working with tools for extended periods
Use of proper PPE and adherence to safety standards
