8+ years of formal technical training
10+ years' experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical switchgear, this will include both low volt and medium voltage power distribution gear. Should have knowledge with protection relays and meters
Valid driver's license
Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution substation engineering for electric utilities, especially PG&E; and renewable energy projects.
Hands-on experience producing power single line drawings, substation plans, and layouts.
Deep understanding of high voltage substation standards, local grid codes, and equipment specifications.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (BSEE preferred).
Professional Engineering license in the United States or a demonstrated plan to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
