Able to read electrical schematics and knowledge of programmable controllers
Journeyman's card or equivalent experience to a Journeyman (ex: previous engineering experience, electrician certifications, etc)
Basic experience with the following automation disciplines PLC Programming / HMI Development / Variable Frequency Drives / Motion Control / Industrial Networks / Sensors
The use of ladders, raised platforms, caged lifts at various heights up to and including 30 feet is required
Hands-on experience with low voltage (480V and below) electrical applications
2+ years in manufacturing environment with a good understanding of plant operations and engineering, and skilled-trade technician work

Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
At time of appointment, applicant must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties as evidenced by a physician's certificate.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Must possess a journeyman electrician's license issued by the Rhode Island State Board of Examiners of Electricians and must maintain such licensure as a condition of employment.
