Endoscopy Technician
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
Provides expert assistance to endoscopist with understanding of patient's anatomy and the procedure being performed
Assists endoscopist in the performance of endoscopic procedures including advanced therapeutic procedures
Assists with collection and preparation of specimens
Assists with emergent procedures in the endoscopy suite, OR or ICU setting
Responsible for set up, use, troubleshooting and maintenance of highly complex equipment
Responsible for quality assurance guidelines in the high-level disinfection reprocessing room
Responsible for adhering to sanitary policies and procedures and infection control guidelines.
May be required to be on call to support urgent/emergent procedures performed outside of normal business hours.
Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
On 1-2 days per week, the employee will serve as the designated late-shift coverage. Late-shift coverage requires staying until the schedule is complete; this is typically no later than 4:30-5:00 PM and occurs only on a sporadic basis.
