Obtain RMAs from supplies and process DMR parts through the system
Communicate with the appropriate departments/purchase requesters about order statuses, including any order delays or issues
Buy items from our online vendors as required by our MRP (material requirement planning) software
Make weekly, monthly, quarterly reports on PO's
Work with the accounting department to research inaccuracies in receipts compared to invoices
Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues
Prior experience as a Buyer/Purchaser in the scientific equipment manufacturing industry is heavily preferred
Communicate with vendors regarding open orders, scheduling, and RFQs
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or Google Doc/Sheets
Negotiate piercing, lead times, and terms with vendors
Create and manage POs (purchase orders) using MRP software
Technical parts knowledge—electronic components are a plus!
Detailed oriented
Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines
Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials
