High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift.
Fabrication experience and the ability to work from blueprints and sketches.
Must pass Crane welding qualifications test, which includes a plate test (fillit welds) on an 8-inch coupon, schedule 40 pipe, open root, 3 passes (root downhill, hot pass uphill, cover pass uphill, and must pass X-ray requirements.
Use blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering or customer supplied drawings and specifications.
Use ability to read measuring instruments not limited to, but including tape measure, micrometers, and calipers.
Verify protective shield and restricted area signs are in place before welding.
