Associates Degree in Welding Technology highly preferred. Candidates possessing an equivalent combination of training and experience are also encouraged to apply
Ability to pass a practical weld test on company products, using sample drawings and WPS
Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as blueprints, drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals
Safety conscious and thoroughly familiar with ANSI Z49.1, Safety in Welding, Cutting, and Allied Processes

Capable of performing fillet welds in the flat and horizontal positions, fixed and rotated
Maintains a clean and organized work area in accordance with 6S principles and company policy
Utilizes thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting torch or plasma-arc equipment to fabricate parts
Fills cavities or corrects malformation in parts and hammers out bulges and bends in metal workpieces
Takes full ownership of a welding machine and adheres to a daily/weekly PM schedule
Performs in-process quality inspections of own work and executes high-quality repairs quickly
